Set among rainforest gardens in the artists' community of Volcano Village, this basic hostel and inn is less than 2 miles from the entrance to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, and only 2 blocks to the local restaurants and stores, where the County Bus stops.
This budget friendly accomodation has a reputation for being sparkling clean and the owner/operator is a wonderful host that will be happy to answer any of your questions upon arrival. The owner is a long time resident of Volcano Village, and a former Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Employee.
There's a mixture of accommodations, from dorm-style rooms with sheets, blankets and free WiFi to private rooms (some with en suite bathrooms) that also offer towels. Communal facilities include a TV room, dining room, kitchen and laundry. Lady's and men's separate bathrooms. There's a library with books and magazines, while a computer is available for Internet browsing. Free tea, coffee and hot chocolate are served throughout the day.

Although we encourage campers, backpackers, hikers, bicyclers, and world travelers - we have a "no shoes" in the hostel policy. We include sheets, pillowcase, and blankets for each bed with the price.
