The Volcano Store ( by the locals referred to as the "upper store" because it is further up the hill, and closer to the national park) offers such things as drinks, ice cream, cookies, general household goods, limited amount of car parts, such as wiper blades, fuses, etc., canned goods, wine, beer, camera film, and regular and unleaded gasoline at two pumps located at the store.  Please don't park parallel to the pump because then nobody else can get any.  Back in towards the pump.  The hoses are long enough to fit on right or left side of your car.

The Lower Store ( by the locals referred to as the "lower store" because it is further down the hill then the other store) offers most the same items then the upper store.  Also available are prepacked sandwiches and salads. In the back right at the store there are a variety of Hawaiian brochures, postcards, calendars, and information available.  The store houses also the only video rental company in town, which is located all the way in the back of the store.   There are two pumps at the store on a "pump island" so park to the left or right to it.  There is a restaurant in the back of the store, and a separate building with a small gift shop.  For general parking, park in front of the store or in the middle or back parking lot.  It is local custom to drive in at the entrance closest to the store door, and drive out of the exit furthest away from the store.   This is so much custom in town that sometimes there is gridlock due to someone going in the wrong way.  But then again, there is no sign telling you.

Located right between the "Upper" and "Lower" store.  The Hardware store is one of the newest addtions to our town.   Being a franchise you can find almost anything you would find in a store like this on the mainland.  Now also has a variety of food items for your daily needs.. go check it out!
